A Night At The Drive-In: Macy's Hosts Outdoor Film Event

The great American drive-in is back! Next Wednesday, June 26th, Macy's is bringing the silver screen downtown with a family-friendly "pop-up drive-in movie night". Summer Street will be transformed into a movie theater, as Macy's screens the 2011 film "The Smurfs." There will also be carnival activities, music, snacks--even a visit from a Smurfs character!

The free event is open to the first 200 attendees. The first 40 customers to spend $40 or more in the Macy's Kids Department on June 26th will receive a Macy's Drive-In Lawn Chair along with VIP passes to the event.

GEM Restaurant & Lodge (42 Province St.) celebrates the onset of summer with a new post-5 pm appetizer menu as well as new features on its dinner menu.

The "Sicilian Summer" features Prosecco, pizza, and Peroni beer, and is served after 5 pm, Wednesdays-Sundays. Artisan Bistro Introduces New Sunday Supper

Artisan Bistro Sunday Supper Well known for its Sunday brunch tradition, the Ritz-Carlton Boston Common's Artisan Bistro (10 Avery St.) has long celebrated has added a new Sunday Supper menu.

Starting at 5 pm each Sunday, the dinner includes a salad, two seasonal entrees, two side dishes, and a sampling of desserts. Highlights include New England classics such as Georges Bank cod, steak tips pasta, and spring vegetable casserole.

"Free Fun Fridays" On The Freedom Trail

Next Friday, June 28th, the Freedom Trail Foundation is offering free tours of the Freedom Trail all-day long!

The deal is offered in partnership with the Highland Street Foundation, as part of this summer's "Free Fun Fridays" promotion. Get Ready For A "Wicked" Month
At Boston Opera House


The dog days of summer will be made more "Wicked," as the smash-hit Broadway production comes to the Boston Opera House in early August.

Based on the Gregory Maguire book of the same name, the musical gives a revisionist perspective on the saga of the Good Witch and the Bad Witch from the beloved children's tale "The Wizard of Oz."

The show runs from Wednesday, August 7th, through Sunday, September 15th. Tickets are on-sale now!
