Urban Agriculture Community Forum
The urban farming phenomenon continues to build momentum, and to help guide it, the BRA is hosting a community forum with the Mayor's Urban Agriculture Working Group. The event will address the relevant guidelines from Zoning Code Article 89--commercial farms, aquaculture, composting, soil safety, backyard coops and apiaries, and more. This event will specifically consider urban farming in downtown neighborhoods: Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Downtown Crossing, Chinatown, North End, West End, and Charlestown. "Boston Calling" Music Festival
City Hall Plaza will come alive this weekend with the "Boston Calling" music festival, a two-day, multi-stage, 18-band extravaganza.
Headliners include Fun., The Shins, Andrew Bird, and The Walkmen. VIP passes are still available for either day or for the entire weekend.

Summer On Summer Street: Great Block Parties & Art Markets!
Summer Street is humming with excitement as the Downtown Boston BID's annual summertime event programming has begun!
The Downtown Crossing Block Party season kicked off last Thursday. Hundreds of patrons enjoyed great weather, reggae music by Hot Like Fire (above), and complimentary appetizers from 49 Social. Join us every Thursday from 5-8 pm (weather permitting) through September for moderately-priced drinks, local bands, and complimentary appetizers.
Back for its fifth year, the Summer Street Art Markets, with its line of white tents, add vibrant colors and texture to Summer Street. Featuring a variety of local artists and crafters, the Markets take place every Wednesday and Friday (weather permitting), from 11 am-6 pm, through October.
Above, Nancy Basler (left), of Nancy Basler Knits, visits with Lorraine Chouinard, of Ella Grace Jewelry Design. Nancy knits items such as the versatile Cape Cod shawls; Lorraine's jewelry is fashioned from sterling silver and features semi- precious stones. The twice-weekly Markets feature a rotating selection of vendors, so check back often!

Free Admissions For Veterans At Old South Meeting House
Old South Meeting House complements Macy's "Got Your Six" campaign with another summer of FREE admissions for active-duty military personnel and their families. The special offer starts next Monday, May 27th, and runs through Labor Day (September 2nd). Attendees must present a valid military ID at the front desk. |

Hyatt Regency's Terrace Opens
One of downtown's great rites of summer is the opening of the Hyatt Regency's Avenue One Terrace. This year's kick-off party, set for Thursday afternoon, features a Sam Adams tasting! "POFitness" In Post Office Square Park

Award-winning Post Office Square Park will host "POFitness," a weekly series of pilates, yoga, zumba, yin yoga, bootcamp, and more. The classes will be conducted before and after work.
