Revised Newsrack Ordinance Passed
The Boston City Council recently approved a revision to the City's newsrack ordinance.
The ordinance allows the newsrack permitting and monitoring process to be moved on-line. This should greatly expedite the removal of abandoned newsracks that create visual clutter and pedestrian obstacles on sidewalks. We congratulate City Council for passing the revised ordinance and we look forward to partnering with the Public Works Department on compliance & enforcement.
