The Loveliest Unicorn: OSH Restoration
Old State House continues to receive acclaim and develop partnerships dedicated to historic reservation. Its most recent announcement: a gift of $14,000 from Boston Duck Tours to restore the wooden unicorn that adorns its roof.
The unicorn--symbolic of Old State House's British heritage--will be taken down for restoration in October. (During the final phase of restoration, it will be on display inside the museum, before it is placed back on the rooftop).
The restoration coincides with the historic museum's 300th anniversary commemoration. Keep reading for updates on all the tricenntenial celebrations!
