The Holidays Begin: What's Happening Downtown
It's Thanksgiving week, and downtown is ready to usher in the holiday season with a variety of celebrations.
Here's a chronological guide to coming holiday events:
And don't forget the Downtown Boston Holiday Market Tent! - The fourth-annual edition is bigger and better than ever, with dozens of artisan vendors set to showcase their wares.
- The tent opens Saturday, November 24th, at 11 am. It will be open through Saturday, December 29th. Hours are 11 am-7 pm, Mondays-Saturdays, 11 am-5 pm on Sundays.
- Santa will be appearing outside the tent from Saturday, November 24th, through Sunday, December 23rd, on Mondays-Fridays from 4-6 pm, Saturdays from 2-3 pm/4-6 pm, and Sundays from 2-3 pm/4-5 pm.

Millennium Place Topping-Off Ceremony
The final piece to the puzzle: last Friday, Millennium Partners and Suffolk Construction celebrated the completion of Millennium Place's structural framework with a topping-off ceremony.
The ceremony included speeches by Millennium Partners principals and building trades leaders. Millennium Partners also gave generous donations to St. Francis House and the Friends of The Public Garden at the event. Millennium Place is on schedule to open for occupancy in fall 2013. |
Five Guys Burgers & Fries Now Open
Downtown's " better-burger brawl" has escalated, with the opening, over the weekend, of Five Guys Burgers & Fries at 58 Summer St. (adjacent to Uno Due Go). Scores of downtown workers (below) visited the restaurant today to sample the tasty offerings.
