LILY was known at the Animal Shelter as "Momma Kitty".
She was turned in to our shelter dragging a leg that was
paralyzed due to a gunshot wound. A tiny cat herself-only 6 lbs-she
was nursing 6 kittens. Despite her leg, she was sweet, kind,
and the best of mothers. Our staff fell in love with her and asked
A-PAL to help pay for the surgery once her kittens were weaned.
She came through it fine and was put up for adoption at the
Feed Barn in search of her special forever home. Many applied,
but none seemed ideal until Margot and Alan came and fell in love.
They were happy to give this little girl the kind of care she needed
for a long and healthy life. Lily loves everyone and does not behave
like a 3-legged cat! She runs, jumps, plays and thoroughly enjoys
every day, a perfect example of how partnerships among kind
people can enrich lives.
