Understanding and Treating Sciatica
Make sure to treat the underlying cause.
The term sciatica describes pain along the path of the sciatic nerve from the lower back, through the hips and buttocks, and down the back of the legs to the feet. The pain is caused by compression or irritation of the sciatica nerve typically in the lower back but sometimes originating in the hip/butt. People with sciatica are often told the cause of the pain is lumbar spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, spondylolisthesis, bone spur(s), herniated or ruptured lumbar disc, piriformis syndrome, or muscle spasms. All of these diagnoses are symptoms of posture imbalances which are the underlying cause of sciatica. Does Cupping Really Work?
Michael Phelps and several other Olympic athletes were seen with cupping bruises during the Olympic Games. 

Because of the all the attention this has brought cupping, I decided to write an article that talks about what cupping therapy is, what is does, and if it helps speed recovery or improve performance.
