PHASE I OF AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT
STARTING SOON

Texas Aviation Partners has joined forces with Western, LLC to bring much-needed hangar facilities to KLVJ!

The first stage of development includes T-hangars for lease and condo hangars available for purchase.

For more information, and to download a brochure, visit the Hangar Development tab of our website.

Spots are filling quickly! Have questions or want to reserve your hangar today? Contact Cindy Gettig at (281) 853-9767 or email her at [email protected].

24-HOUR PILOT LOUNGE

Have you had a chance to scope out the 24-hour pilot's lounge and restroom? Located on the side of the community hangar, the room is a great place to wait for your ride or freshen up after a long flight.

The room, accessible using the CTAF frequency as the code, is open to all based and transient pilots.
ANTENNA TOWER LIGHT

Great news! The lighting on the antenna tower is now fully operational.

The lighting was repaired in accordance with FAA specifications which, for this particular tower, means that all lights shine white - day and night.

As a bonus, the new tower owner has installed a system that will alert them when a light is inoperable meaning less downtime for future repairs.

Thank you Air Professionals for the great aerial shot of the tower! (Check out their Facebook page for other great photos from the airport.)
NEW AIRPORT EQUIPMENT

By now, you've probably spotted a few new vehicles cruising around the ramp. A golf cart was acquired to help lead pilots to the FBO as well as to shuttle passengers and luggage to and from the FBO and hangar.

The mule was purchased as a multipurpose vehicle used for tugging aircraft in the community hangar and grounds maintenance - particularly herbicide.

You may have also noticed a couple new additions to our fuel tanks. Each morning, we sump fuel from the tanks to test for quality. With these new reclamation tanks, we can filter the tested fuel back into the tank, meaning less waste and more fuel savings passed to you.

AOPA CENTRAL SOUTHWEST
Did you know that AOPA has a network of key staff who focus on promoting GA in the regions they serve?

For Pearland, part of the Central Southwest region, that means that our advocacy falls into the very capable hands of Yasmina Platt. Yasmina has been a huge proponent of KLVJ and has gone above and beyond to help promote the airport and it's benefit to the community. In fact, you may have met her at our open house!

Regional Managers like Yasmina can also be a valuable resource for pilots. Check out the Central Southwest webpage for information on everything from new legislation to fun places to fly!
