RevivalDistrict Revival - Amazing!!

What a witness!  The District Revival, August 16-19, answered the question "Can I get a witness?" with a resounding YES.  Click on the picture at right to enlarge and read about each wonderful witness--from stories to song and fellowship.  (article by John Allen)

As a district, we were challenged to raise $5,000 for Project Jubilee -- DS Tom Ballard agreed to accept a pie in the face if the goal was met.   But....if a $10,000 goal is met by District Conference time (September 13), John Keller (Oakland UMC) will join him....and if $10,001 is the total, so will Linda Stransky (Director, Jubilee).   You may still help by emailing a commitment to modist@holston.org and/or by sending your check marked "Revival" to Morristown District Office, PO Box 1592, Morristown TN 37816-1592.

Pies will be delivered during the district conference September 13 at First UMC Newport.   Come join the fun.

Pancake

What a wonderful way to support the youth at Jubilee Project, who are earning money to attend Resurrection 2016.   If you want a "two-fer," you may phone to purchase a ticket and then donate the ticket to someone who would otherwise go hungry that morning (the good folks at Jubilee will make sure it gets to someone in need).   Advance purchase is requested....but tickets will be available at the door.
