A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dr. Michael J. Coury
mcoury@fatherlopez.org

When does 100 + 100 = 5,000? That was the tricky math question I posed for you in the last edition of eNEWS.  As promised, I will share the answer to that question with you today.

Let me begin by stating what a fantastic family we all have in Father Lopez Catholic High School. We are blessed to be the school-of-choice for so many wonderful students. We are also proud to have provided a valued education to nearly 4,000 Green Wave since our founding in 1959.

From our earliest days, we have received remarkable support from the parents of our students, from our pastors and parishes, from the Diocese of Orlando, and from alumni and many other friends and community leaders. Likewise, we are blessed to have been and continue to be the home for many dedicated, compassionate and caring faculty and staff who share special gifts on a daily basis with our students.

As most of you certainly know, tuition alone does not fully cover the cost of a Lopez education. It is made possible through voluntary gifts that come to us from all of the constituencies cited above. For this, we remain most grateful.

Today, I am pleased to announce that another generous donor has offered the school a $5,000 gift. However, we will need your help to bring this gift home to Lopez. The donor will present us with the $5,000 gift IF we can secure 100 gifts in 100 hours. (Remember, 100 + 100 = 5,000.)

In response to the challenge offered by this donor, we have created The Lopez 100. This unique giving opportunity will be available from noon on Thursday, April 28, to 4:00 pm on Monday, May 2. I humbly ask that you consider making a voluntary gift to the school during these 100 hours. Gifts may be of any size--none are too big, and none are ever too small! For your convenience, the gift may be made online or by mailing a check directly to the school.
Please know that your consideration of this request is greatly appreciated. I wish the best for you and for all members of the family that is Father Lopez Catholic High School.

100 Gifts in 100 Hours = $5,000
Starting at noon on Thursday, April 28
Ending at 4:00 pm on Monday, May 2
