A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dr. Michael J. Coury
mcoury@fatherlopez.org

When the final class ends today, we will begin our week long Thanksgiving holiday recess. This will be a well-deserved break from daily routines for our students, faculty and staff. It will also be a time for reflection and a time for us to ponder the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us.

At Father Lopez Catholic High School, we count our blessings every day. We are thankful for the wonderful students who attend our school. They are the force that energize us each day. We give thanksgiving for their parents, too. We appreciate the many sacrifices they make to provide their sons and daughters with the Lopez experience. We cherish the trust they have placed in us to be their partners in the educational and spiritual formation of their sons and daughters.

We are blessed to have many dedicated and caring men and women who teach, coach, lead and assist our students on their journey through high school. Our faculty, staff, coaches and administrators share the gifts of wisdom, knowledge and love with our students on a daily basis.

We are proud of the legion of Green Wave alumni. Their many and varied accomplishments are a source of pride and inspiration for all of us. We also value their loyalty and support for the Lopez student of today.

We shall forever be indebted to the pioneer families who first believed in our Catholic high school when the doors to Father Lopez opened in 1959.  We thank them and those who came after them for making Lopez their school-of-choice We thank our many friends and benefactors who have sustained the school throughout this past half-century. They helped make it possible for our new campus to be developed for the next generation of learners.

It is our prayer that God will bless each and every one of you in a special way during this season of Thanksgiving. May you find inner peace and happiness as you celebrate the holiday with your family and friends. In doing so, please know that we are thankful for you and for all members of the family that is Father Lopez Catholic High School.
APPLICATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR CLASS OF 2020
Future Green Waves have attended retreats, preview days and shadowed at Lopez. Parents have visited and attended Open House. The next step in the application process for 8th graders is to complete an online application. The payment of a non-refundable $75 application fee is due at that time. Completing the application and paying the application fee reserves a place to take the High School Placement Test that will be administered at Lopez at 8:00 am on Saturday, December 5.

Eighth-graders who sit for the exam on December 5 are given priority in the application process. Please note that applicants who do not meet the December 5 application deadline will be considered for admission on a space-available basis.
CELEBRATE 2016!
