A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dr. Michael J. Coury mcoury@fatherlopez.org
As we approach the middle of September, I wanted to call your attention to a couple of items that should come your way before the end of the month. In the last edition of eNEWS, I shared with you some preliminary information about a diocesan-wide study being conducted for each of the five Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Orlando. My message outlined the priorities that we had identified for our school. During this past week, several members of our community were invited to review the proposal and to provide feedback directly to a representative from the consulting firm. In a few days, each of you will be receiving an electronic interview questionnaire from the consultants. I encourage you to please take the time to complete the survey. Your feedback will be every bit as important as that being received in the face-to face visits with the consultant. At the end of September, we will be mailing a copy of the 2014 Annual Report magazine to our many families. Here is a sneak peek at the cover of the 28-page report. Preparing an Annual Report is always a wonderful opportunity to pause and reflect upon many memories and successes from the past school year. We tried to capture a variety of school highlights, as well as the achievements of the Class of 2014. The report offers financial and academic data, as well as an interesting map visually depicting the residential locations of our students. The Annual Report also provides us with an opportunity to publicly recognize our many donors and benefactors, including those who contributed to the Jillian Blais '11 Memorial Scholarship Fund and to the Jonathon Fischer '08 Memorial Weight Room. Included in the magazine are a number of alumni updates and information on our second generation of Green Wave. In closing, I thank you for your prayers, interest and support for Father Lopez Catholic High School and for the students we serve. |
