We are seeking your feedback on our draft revised by-laws
June 21, 2013 - August 20, 2013
Prior to proclamation of the Psychotherapy Act, 2007, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario is required to have in place comprehensive by-laws that govern the affairs of the College, its Council, and its relationships with members.
At its June 17th meeting, Council approved a significantly revised version of the by-laws for circulation to stakeholders for feedback. The draft revised by-laws contain numerous significant changes from the current, approved by-laws. These changes include the addition of sections on:
- Electoral districts for Council members
- Fees payable by members
- Professional liability insurance requirements for members
- Content of the public register
- Requirements and fees associated with professional corporations
We are inviting feedback on all aspects of the by-laws from interested stakeholders: practitioners, professional associations, students, clients, members of the public and members of other professions. We look forward to receiving your written comments by the August 20, 2013 deadline.
