 Completing Deadends in the Air a First in Vietnam

 

Power Construction Company 2 (PCC2) and Vietnam Technique Development Co, Ltd (VTD) recently completed the sixth installation of ACCC conductor in Vietnam using 248 mm^2 (470 kcmil) Glasgow size ACCC conductor on the double circuit Linh Trung - Thu Duc Bac 110 KV line for the Ho Chi Minh City High Voltage Network Company.

 

This project was also a milestone for installation techniques in Vietnam.  VTD supervisors and CTC Global certified Master Installers utilized a more efficient and accurate way of installing dead-ends by completing the process in the air at the interface of the insulators and lattice structures. The procedure saves substantial time and simplifies conductor handling.

 

This project is one of more than 325 ACCC installations in 30 countries. The ACCC conductor for this project was manufactured by KMI Wire and Cable of Indonesia, one of the 19 qualified suppliers of ACCC conductor worldwide.
