"Every day there is a reason to #applaudOKCPS"

You work with outstanding students, share ideas with compassionate teachers and smile at the heartwarming experiences taking place in the classrooms inside Oklahoma City Public Schools. #ApplaudOKCPS is a district-wide campaign that provides STAFF with the opportunity to share the success stories from inside our schools with the community.

This week we applaud Star Spencer High School!

SSHS students attended the inauguration of Jerry Steward, Star Spencer graduate, and new President of Oklahoma City Community College.

Welcome the new Dean of Students at SSHS, Shane Sanders.

The attendees bring their favorite childhood book and read to the kids. Mr. Neu attended this year and read
How I Became A Pirate
 dressed as a pirate!
The children loved him!

Peer Intervention Book Buddy Program

Reminder About Safe Schools Training

There have been several reoccurring questions about the recent SafeSchools training assignments.

Employees are NOT required to print the certificates to upload into Generation Ready.  Professional Development points will be added to Generation Ready after the due dates have passed.

Principals DO have the option to get access to the reports for their site. Contact dslaughter@okcps.org to get that access. **Providing access will require principals put in a password when logging into SafeSchools.

Employee Highlight
Thank you to JT Garrett (Painter) and Clifford Braxton (Custodian) for keeping the Operations Center looking good!
