How Our Team Supports OKCPS

Human Resources supports the district in a variety of different ways.

In the Recruiting Division, we are always on the lookout for the best and brightest staff to join our already talented staff. We will take an applicant from initial contact with our district, starting with the hiring process of signing a contract and on-boarding, and equip them with the information and contacts of other departments for the "hand-off". We also assist employees with certifications and accreditation reports required by the OSDE. The Urban Teacher Prep Academy (UTPA) assists with the recruiting process through the relationships with the state universities through the UTPA, by selecting and training individuals who desire to work in a high-needs school.

The Performance Management and Accountability Division assists employees with evaluation and growth through the evaluation process. We assist principals with their evaluations through training and resources, while assisting teachers with methods of improving and connecting them with resources to better serve our students.

The Compensation and Compliance Division supports employees by providing accurate and timely benefit information and processing, attendance and salary information/adjustments for increased certification and education. This division also manages all aspects of sick leave, leave of absences, FMLA, and relations with our military and associated leave.

The Personnel Relations Division is available to assist all employees with any concerns with employer-employee relationships as a whole. Whether it be a work related challenge or something you are facing in your personal life, we are here to listen and provide contacts to resources that help employees to focus on the children of our district.
