Save the Date: PGWA Summer BBQ 2016!
The PGWA "Members Only" BBQ will be held at Karah Estate Vineyards and Winery on Sunday, August 14th. Karah Estate is located at 1010 W Railroad Ave, Cotati, CA. An eVite will go out soon to all current members with additional details regarding the event.
Members are asked to bring a pot luck dish and a bottle (or two) of Petaluma Gap wine to share. It is Petaluma, so dress appropriately (wind, sun, wind, fog -- typical Petaluma!). Families are welcome, but no pets please! Also, for everyone's safety, no smoking will be allowed.
The BBQ is limited to current PGWA members only (members may bring one guest). Not a member yet? Check out the member benefits on our membership page and sign up via PayPal. New members signing up prior to August 7th will receive an eVite to the BBQ. |

Sustainable Winegrowing Webinars
Petaluma Gap growers are encouraged to join a free webinar with California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance staff to learn more about the tools and resources available to California growers and vintners through the Sustainable Winegrowing Program (SWP), including a demo of the SWP online self-assessment system, information about Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing (CCSW-Certified), and background on the online Performance Metrics tool. Adobe Road Winery
 Adobe Road Winery has been invited to participate in the prestigious
Wine Spectator New York Wine Experience, taking place the weekend of October 20-22, 2016. It is truly an honor to be invited to pour alongside some of the best wineries from all across the globe and adds additional excitement around the winery's new project in Petaluma. The three-day event is every wine aficionados dream, with sit-down tastings of award winning vintages (all scored over 90 points), the Critic's Choice Grand Tastings, and the exclusive black-tie awards banquet. This is the very best of the wine world. We hope to see you there.
Experience Midsummer Magic at Azari Vineyards on July 16th! Enjoy a warm midsummer day full of joy, and wine (of course). Relax and unwind with some of our 2014 Azari Riesling as you gaze dreamily at our breathtaking view of the valley. Sip on our 2012 Azari Pinot Noir as you nibble on our famous wood-fired pizza and a special summer seafood paella. Finally, cool down with our special Corkscrew sangria as dreamy music fills the summer air. For the young ones, we will have two sheep from a local farm to (gently) pet. The tasting room gallery will also be displaying whimsical oil on canvas paintings of sheep and landscapes by Pari Azari. Wine Club members are invited (along with one guest) at no cost. Waxwing Wines
 Rumor has it that the Waxwing Wines 2013 Flocchini Vineyard Syrah will receive a 93 point score from a highly respected wine journal. Check back next month for the details! In the meantime, join Waxwing Wines at their Belmont, CA winery on July 8 and July 29 for Friday Night Flights tasting series. The tastings feature five Waxwing current release wines in a flight or served wine by the glass. Both options are $10. Belmont is on the SF peninsula in San Mateo County, just south of SFO by 15 minutes. It's a great way to unwind on a Friday night for folks on the SF peninsula. The winery is at 111 Industrial Rd, Unit 8, Belmont, CA and the tastings go from 6 to 9 pm.
