Holiday Presence!
Peace, Elisabeth
 | The Healers Life! Holiday Presence - Dr.Elisabeth Crim & Moonstone Center |
Silent Night, Holy Night, All is Calm, All is Bright...This is the beginning lyrics of Silent Night, my favorite Christmas Carol from childhood. It remains my favorite to this day. Whether you are Christian, Jewish, celebrating the Winter Solstice or another religion or non-religion, these words are quietly beautiful and can call to our inner spirit. They speak to the sacred within and around. Each year my family and I attend a Candlelight Christmas Eve service where we sing
Silent Night while we hold candles, each lit by a fellow worshiper as you then turn and light the candle of the person next to you. It is a soft and beautiful song and sound as well as light and vision. Since childhood these first 10 words of the song have stirred something quiet and powerful within me. The carol called to something deeper, grander, more holy and powerful than the presents under the tree or Santa whose arrival I eagerly awaited and could hardly sleep for want of spying upon his landing down our chimney! Rich, delightful, magical and fun!
But Silent Night called to something deeper and larger than even Santa and my presents. As an adult I am struck by this same contrast of a call to the sacred and spiritual amid the fun Holiday traditions and the frenzy of finding and shipping that one last gift! Silent Night reminds me and calls me to my own spirit and the spirit of the community in which I live and serve, the beauty of my family and friends, and the God in whom I trust and worship. It is a call to Presence. Presence of myself with myself and with others.
As Healers we give of ourselves on a daily basis in our profession. This time of year calls on us to also give even more at a more hectic and seemingly unending pace with family, friends, colleagues and relatives across the country. We can experience our patients, clients, students surging with labile emotions and moods. We can experience our own moods more intensely as well. There are new or refreshed feelings of loss regarding family and friends who have passed on who we will not be seeing this season. Past memories, some precious, some painful stir through the Holidays. This season holds a powerful flux of mixed energies. We need to remember to give to ourselves, to honor our spirits and the Sacred. We need to spend a Holy Night with our Source.
At Moonstone Center, we are winding down through the end of the year. We are turning inward with family and friends and honoring Spirit. I invite you to do the same. I invite you to Holiday Presence. I encourage you to have a Silent and Holy Night within this Holiday Season, whether a night of Hannukah, Winter Solstice or Christmas Eve or another day in this season that you discover is the right day for you.
Enjoy the video of the song Silent Night sung by Sarah McLachlan below. Touch the Sacred. Participate in Holiday Presence.
Happiest Holidays!
We look forward to connecting with you in the New Year!
Om and Ah! Allelujah and Amen...
Until next month,
Peace, Joy, and Beautiful Light,
Elisabeth
and the Moonstone Center Team

Therapist-Centered Clinical Consultation
Experiencing challenges in building or maintaining your practice?
Feeling isolated from other therapists?
Struggling with certain patients who may have attachment or personality disorders?
Interested in integrating the Physical and Spiritual within your Psychotherapy Practice?
Aware of your own Counter-Transference with certain patients and needing a place for expert help in attending to it,
Desiring to utilizing your patient's transference and your own counter-transference for positive treatment outcomes?
If you answered Yes! to any of these, you may want to consider the Power of Consultation for support, clinical case exploration, transference/counter-transference issues, mind-body-spirit-relational psychotherapy and your own process and planning in your professional life journey!
I approach each professional with whom I consult from an inter-subjective approach, honoring both of our sets of knowledge, experience, and passion. I offer consultation within a context of safety and compassion toward self with a healthy dose of humor where possible! We are merely human beings who happen to be healers of other human beings on this journey called Life! I offer a space to safely explore what being a therapist, or other type of healing professional means to you and how to better assure you are going forward safely (emotionally, mentally, relationally, and yes spiritually and physically) for yourself and for those you are treating. I do this from a clinical perspective that is grounded in an inter-subjective and holistic psychodynamic approach to individuals and relationships. Give me a call...Let's have some fun together while we help you grow and heal and provide effective healing to others in your professional life journey!
I offer consultation via:
- Individual Consultation.
- Group Consultation.
- Form your Own Group with your own Trusted Colleagues
Contact me or call: 310.371.2800 if you want to schedule an individual session or if you want to form a group of your trusted colleagues for me to join as consultant. I am putting out a call to form a Therapist-Centered Consultation Group at this time.
