2015 Summer Institute in Spirituality and the Arts

Summer Institute labyrinthRevitalize your faith life with this four-day mini-retreat designed to inspire artists, community members and ministers of all kinds to creatively engage with new ideas.

 

This year's theme, "More than a Story," focuses on storytelling. Five compelling workshops guide you to weave your story, engage your audience, tell your story visually or in memoir, and enhance worship. Attend full- or half-day sessions.

The dinner is sold out, but there are a handful of tickets left for the performance, so don't delay.

Community Appreciation Night

You are invited to a community celebration at United. All events are open to the public.

 

The Summer Institute in Spirituality and the Arts is an annual four-day mini-retreat for clergy, church leaders, artists and community members to vitalize creative ministries and experience the sacred in their work.

 

This year's closing ceremony features Mu Performing Arts and the driving rhythms of martial-arts inspired Taiko drumming,along with reflections and readings prepared by the participants in this year's Institute.  

 

No charge.  

 

 

Community Pizza Night

 

Join us for Community Pizza Night -- rain or shine!

 

This summer-time, ongoing series of pizza nights is held on the campus grounds, so stop by to relax with neighbors and friends and eat some delicious, hot-from-the-brick-oven pizza. Table seating or bring a blanket for picnic style. For inclement weather, we'll move indoors.

 

Choose your own toppings for a 10" pizza, plus salad, fruit, dessert and lemonade. Honey in the Rock Porter provided.

 

$10 per plate. $7 pizza only. Cash only, please.   

 

 

The Student Executive Committee is kicking off the summer semester by hosting a dance, complete with DJ. Pick up a raffle ticket to win a new Kindle Fire.
