Update:  New Snow Emergency/Blizzard School Closing Policy

The policy published last week in Monday Morning has been updated, and the following are the protocols that will be followed in the event of a school closing due to inclement weather:

  • Students, faculty and staff will receive an automated phone call by 6:45 a.m. The closing will also be posted on WCCO and KSTP websites. If possible, information will be posted on United's website and social media sites.
  • If the decision is made during the day, the dean will advise the faculty, who will advise the students, and the vice president for administration will advise supervisors, who will advise their personnel.

Registration for the Spring Term is open!

If you haven't had an opportunity to look at the course offering yet, please go to the Courses page on our web site. There is a link to registration forms at the top of the right-hand column.

The deadline for avoiding the late registration fee is 12/1/14. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Hastings at 651.255.6120 or [email protected].

Registering for  the Spring Term EL100 Spiritual Journey Program

Spring term offerings of the program are posted on the courses page. The Spiritual Journey, required for all MDiv and MARL students, and open to everyone, consists of the student selecting a spiritual program from one of four very different spiritual directors, which each has designed for us. The student may sign up for different spiritual programs in different semesters (you will be able to sample), or may sign up with one spiritual director for more than one semester. If you are not in the MDiv or MARL programs, contact Susan Hastings. Students should register for the spiritual journey programs when registering for other spring term classes:

  • Alika Galloway: EL100-01
  • Jody Johnson: EL100-02
  • David Rothstein: EL100-03
  • Corrina Thomas: EL100-04

United Student Facebook Group

If you are a student of United, we hope you'll join our closed Facebook group. This is a gathering space for students to ask questions about classes, offer spiritual support, share joys and concerns, engage in dialogue around our ministerial and faith formation, share resources and ideas, post event announcements .... and most importantly, be a safe sanctuary of collegiality and friendship.

This Facebook group is strictly for and moderated by current United students. There is no connection with United or its faculty and administration. Since it is a "closed" group (using Facebook's terminology), only members of the group can see posts.

We hope you'll join this vibrant and supportive community! Please visit facebook.com/groups/UTSstudents/. Since this is a closed group, you'll need to request admission and be approved by a student moderator. Alternatively, if you are Facebook friends with a current group member, they can add you directly.
