Saturday, November 2 or Thursday, November 14
If you are wondering what a possible next step might be on your journey, we invite you to join with others in the discernment process and with United's admissions staff. Whether you're feeling called to ministry at a young age or called to a career change later in life; whether you're UCC or UU or AME or any other denomination or simply a spiritual seeker; whether you're interested in ordained ministry or in a Master of Arts degree for ministry outside of the walls of a congregation, there is a place for you at United. Celebrating Deidre Scherer Events
United had a wonderful time last week hosting artist-in-residence Deidre Scherer as she spoke about her work showcased in the Threads of Connection exhibit - currently in the Classroom and Bigelow Chapel Galleries through November 18. Scherer led the United Community and the larger Twin Cities Community in several creative workshops challenging us to fully explore our feelings around, and relationships to the many seasons of life.
United thanks everyone who participated in the good work of the last week. If you missed Deidre last week, it is still possible to arrange a tour of this remarkable exhibition by contacting Renee Flesner at rflesner@unitedseminary.edu.
Museum quality commemorative posters made specially for this event are still available at $10.00 a poster. Please contact rflesner@unitedseminary.edu to place your order!
Making United Possible
Calling all students!
During Reading Week, October 21-25, we will hold our Fall Phonathon. Students can play a very important role in United's Annual Fund by calling our alums and sharing some of their experience of seminary and enthusiasm for United. In return, volunteers receive a Target gift card and the gratitude of multitudes.
The income generated through the Annual Fund makes United possible!
If you are willing to spend two hours during any day that week or if you have time available on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evening, contact Kathleen Remund at kremund@unitedseminary.edu or 651.255.6112 and we'll get you on the schedule.
A Time of Remembrance and Celebration for the Life of the Rev. Mary McNamara

Come prepared to share with others your stories and memories of Mary and of her life and service. We will gather with Mary's local family and many friends and colleagues to give thanks for Mary and to remember her life among us here in the Twin Cities. A brief reception will follow the service. Questions may be directed to Rev. Steve Robertson, Associate Pastor at Westminster at 612.332.3421 or srobertson@wpc-mpls.org HOLY HONEY - On Sale Now!! Despite up and down weather conditions our Seminary bees have given us a surplus of honey they don't need for the winter! This is raw honey - screened - not pasteurized - packed full of pollen and a diversity of blooms.
Why buy honey from UTS? You are supporting the ability to have bees at UTS. You are being part of the solution in a global bee crisis. And it is the best tasting honey by far! Thanks for supporting the bees. Jars will be on sale for $7/jar in the Context Café. |
