Please make plans to join us on Saturday at our Facilities Work Day and Campus Celebration. Our renovation work should be complete, and we are planning to spend the morning putting final touches on our campus from 8am - 11:30am. Pre-orders for Rainier's 2014-2015 yearbook are now being taken. Until January 12, you can receive the discounted price of $45. Please fill out the order form and bring form and payment to Mr. Lee in 1208 or Alyssa Martinez.

 

Front Office Help - We are frequently in need of volunteers to greet people in the office and help with administrative tasks - please contact Ms. Trujillo for a schedule of openings.

 

Thursday Treats - One of the special traditions we have at Rainier is to bring in treats for the faculty for their Thursday meetings after school. This is a great way to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. Please sign up on this list: Thursday Treats. Thank you to Ana Maille for bringing treats in October - the staff really appreciated them.

 

Watering Plants - Looking for volunteers who can come by and water the plants. Contact Ms. Trujillo if you can help.

We would like to thank the families who have already donated money to the school this year as well as the generous families who have donated in past years. Rainier collects donations to cover three major parts of our program. Donations help to cover our sports and clubs program, our books and supplies for classrooms, and our scholarship program which helps cover costs for students who can't afford all of the opportunities that we have for students.

 

We ask that all families make a donation and we hope to reach 100% participation this year. Our suggested donation per family is $400; however, we welcome any and all amounts. Cash and check donations can be brought to the office and left with Ms. Trujillo or submitted through your online account.
 

Gilroy Garlic Festival

The Gilroy Garlic Festival held in August raised $2,100 for Tahoma and Rainier! This event had more than 30 Summit parents, students and friends spending a good part of a day (or several days) volunteering by cooking, preparing and serving pasta to festival goers. Thank you to all those volunteers, especially to Shane Ryken for leading and allowing Summit this opportunity! We were able to raise money based on the number of volunteer hours!

 

Tahoma Panda Express Fundraiser

Support Tahoma's fundraising efforts by dining at Panda Express at the Evergreen Commons (corner of Capitol Expressway and Tully) on Friday, November 14 between 11am and 10pm. Take this flyer and they will receive 20% of your purchases.

The Museums of Los Gatos are holding their 4th annual Santa Clara County-wide High School Juried Art Exhibition. Works are accepted in 3 categories: 2D: Paintings, Drawings, Works on Paper; 3D: Sculpture, Ceramics, Mixed Media; and 4D: New Media, Video, Digital Photography or anything created on a computer digital camera or screen. The theme is Bridges: Facing Challenges and scholarships totaling $10,000 will be awarded. Submissions are due February 13. For more information, please see the Museums of Los Gatos website.
