College Night
The powerpoint presentation for last week's 11th grade College Night is online here.
Uniform Policy
Thank you to all of the students and families that have shared their thoughts about the uniform policy. A small team of Rainier and Tahoma teachers are putting together a proposal for next year. We will have an update on next year's uniform policy at the PIVOT meeting on June 5. If you haven't had a chance to share your input, please email Mr. Roe directly at jroe@summitps.org.
Lunch Payments
All lunch balances need to be paid by Thursday, June 5 in order to receive a report card. Payments can be dropped off in the office.
Parent Survey
If you have not completed the parent survey, please take a few minutes and do it now. We want to hear from all our parents about what we're doing well and what areas you suggest for improvement.
Last Day of School
On the last day of school, June 6, there will be an awards ceremony from 11am-1pm in the Mt. Pleasant Theater. All parents are welcome to join to see who wins awards and celebrate with the community. There will also be performances from some select freshman of their persuasive speeches. The ceremony will be followed by a mentor lunch from 1-2pm. School will officially close at 2pm but there will be activities from 2-4pm for any students who want to stay on campus. The day starts at our normal time, 9am.
Summer of Summit
- Week 1: June 24 - June 27
- Week 2: July 8 - July 11
- Week 3: July 15 - July 18
- Week 4: July 22 - July 25
- Week 5: July 29 - August
All students who need to attend the morning sessions of Summer of Summit have been contacted and have signed up. If you are not sure if your child needs to attend, contact your child's mentor. For students who want to take assessments over the summer, to either finish a course or to get a head start on a course for next year, we will be hosting open office hours every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoon from 1 - 5 pm at the Tahoma campus. These sessions are just for taking assessments and getting tutoring from peers.
Sincerely,
Jesse Roe, Executive Director
