Dear Rainier Community,

Summit San Jose parents are mobilizing to demand that the East Side Union High School District provide equitable facilities to Summit Rainier and Tahoma. Our goal is to have over 100 parents and students attend the ESUHSD Board meeting. Summit Administration has requested via Prop 39 that equitable facilities be given but so far, requests have fallen to deaf ears.

The District's final decision on both Prop 39 facility offers will be made at the District Board Meeting on Thursday, March 20 at 6pm at the district office located at 830 N. Capital Ave. For more information, please contact Rolando Loera (roloera@aol.com).

We are planning to have a brief meeting at the Rainier campus on Tuesday, March 18 at 7:30pm to discuss talking points. Parents and students who wish to speak in support of our Prop 39 request are asked to attend. We want to make sure that we have a clear message to the Board of Trustees.

Please consider attending. The more of us attending, the better.

Sincerely,
Rolando Loera

In addition, we have some very important meetings scheduled for this week.
