Author Fair
Saturday, May 11
1-4 p.m.
Local authors will share their writing journey. Join us from 2 to 3 p.m. for a panel discussion on their experiences becoming published authors.
Japanese Braiding
May 18 and 25
1 p.m.
Cost $5
Kumihimo is a traditional style of Japanese braiding which can now be done on a foam disk instead of the original wooden stand. The braids were used by the samurai to hold together the plates of armor they wore. It was later used to tie kimonos. The braids can be used for necklaces, belts, headbands, or almost anything you can imagine.
