martinwolf Annual Letter
In 2015, Carpe Diem!

Dear Clients, Partners and Friends,

It's a great time for the IT Industry, and it's been a great 18th year for our firm. As we begin to close out 2014 and look ahead to 2015, I'd like to take this last opportunity to look back on some of the biggest trends and developments in the IT space over the past year.

In this year's annual letter, I've discussed the following topics:

  1. The tremendous growth of annual deal activity, buoyed by strong US economic performance.
  2. The increased uncertainty plaguing the global economy, particularly in the BRIC countries.
  3. How Chinese and Indian IT companies are beginning to take a larger and more assertive role on the global stage.
  4. A reinvigorated PC industry, seeing strong overall performance as well as bold steps like the splitting of HP.
  5. What to look for in 2015, including continued focus on IT security and a continued premium for smart acquisition strategy.

Despite the broad economic uncertainty, smart acquisition strategy and prescient positioning remains key to success-especially for mid-market IT companies that are not ready to go public or have run into challenges sustaining organic growth in their traditional field.

2014 has paved the way for some of the best conditions in recent history. In 2015,

carpe diem!

I encourage you to read our annual letter by clicking here, and, as always, I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I wish you all Happy Holidays, a Happy New Year and, as always, Happy Selling!
