CIPS Book Series from Karnac

Caron Harrang

Dear CIPS member:

In this last issue before the summer break we continue to celebrate the success of the CIPS Book Series as well as other publications by two of our members, Jeffrey Eaton and Allan Frosch. If you or a CIPS colleague has recently published a book or journal article, please consider sending us an announcement or review. We will be pleased to include it in a future issue of the News Brief.

We also want to acknowledge the loss of our esteemed colleague Leo Rangell, MD, FIPA who died on May 28, 2011. Board member Beth Kalish (and Leo's partner) gathered with others at the recent APsaA conference in San Francisco to recall his many contributions to the field of psychoanalysis. Further remembrances will follow in the September issue.

As summer beacons, Ann and I wish to thank those of you who have sent news and helped to make the first half year of the News Brief a success. We look forward to resuming monthly publication in September. In the meantime, please send announcements of fall events or, for example, reviews of your experience at the upcoming IPA congress in Mexico City.
