Souper Job!

 

Thank you middle and high school students! Due to your hard work during Souper Bowl Sunday, we raised over $950.00 for Harvester's Food Bank. That is a LOT of meals for families in need. Keep up the "souper" work!  

 

Pastors Class 2015 Calendar

 

Students and Faith Mentors mark your calendars for the following dates for Pastors Class 2015:

  • Wed., Feb. 18 - 6:00-8:00 p.m. - Dinner will be provided. We will attend the 6:00 p.m. Ash Wednesday service, followed by a dinner and discussion in the Youth Center.
  • Sun., Mar. 1 - 11:00 a.m-1:30 p.m. - Lunch will be provided. We will attend the 11:00 a.m. worship service, followed by a lunch and discussion in the Youth Center.
  • Wed., Mar. 4 - 7:00-8:30 p.m. - Meet in the Youth Center.
  • Wed., Mar. 11 - 7:00-8:30 p.m. - Meet in the Youth Center.
  • Wed., Mar. 18 - No Meeting. Enjoy your spring break.
  • Wed., Mar. 25 - 7:00-8:30 p.m. - Meet in the Youth Center.
  • Sun., Mar. 29 - 10:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. - Meet in the Youth Center.
  • Thurs., Apr. 2 - 6:00-8:00 p.m. - Dinner will be provided. Meet in the Youth Center.
This Week

Sun., Feb. 8 - Valentine's Day Party - 5:00-7:00 p.m. Middle school and high school students are invited to the Crocker's house for food and games. Please RSVP to Allie Cobb here. Friends are welcome too. If you would like a ride to the Crocker house, please be in the Chapel parking lot by 4:30 p.m. and let Allie know ahead of time so transportation can be arranged.

The Youth Group meeting schedule has changed. Middle school students will meet on the first Sunday of the month. High school students will meet on the third Sunday.

 
Sun., Mar. 1 - 5:00-7:30 p.m. - Middle and high school students will be going to Hope House to volunteer for the evening. We will be playing games and making crafts with the children that reside there. We will also provide a "sack" dinner. If interested in volunteering, please contact Allie here so we can arrange transportation.

Mar. 6 and 7 - High School Late Night - 7:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. Attention high school students! Are you ready for a fun night of live music, coffee, greaet conversation, and the chance to make your own pizza from scratch? Then come to the first ever Country Club Christian Church High School Late Night! Bring a friend and join the fun. The cost is $10 per person. Please contact Allie Cobb if interested in attending.

Sun., Apr. 12 - Green Team Volunteering - 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the church and chapel. Middle and high school students do you have a green thumb? Even if you don't, you are invited to help the Green Team get ready for spring! The more hands the better. Snacks will be provided. Contact Allie for questions and sign-up.

Spring Musical 2015

 

It is spring musical time! Listening CDs and books are now available.  Pick one up from the second floor check-in table.

 

Mark your calendars for the spring musical,  "iAm, An App for All That," on Apr. 26 at noon in the Social Hall.

Sun., Feb. 8 - LAST CHANCE TO AUDITION at 9:30 a.m.sharp. Musical auditions are quite simple. However, they are very important.  Auditions let us know who is interested in participating. Whether your child is interested in a general chorus part, a small part, or the lead, all children and students should audition.  

 

Children and students choirs, grades 1-12 will sing at the 11:00 a.m. service this Sun., Feb. 8. 

 

Children and students do not need to prepare anything for the audition.  Just show up.

Middle School (6th-8th) and High School (9th-12th) gather for refreshments and announcements in the Youth Center (Rm. 205).  After opening, Middle School moves to Room 202 for a lesson.
