Church Branding Project Needs Your Input

 

The Congregational Board is gathering your comments and ideas about the mission, vision and identity of Country Club Christian Church. You can participate by filling out a Branding Project worksheet, available in the Parlor or online by clicking here. The deadline is Sept. 15 for submitting a worksheet. 

 

Parents of Children and Students

 

Please note, beginning Sun., Sept. 14, Country Club Christian Church's Sunday afternoon and evening schedule will be as follows:

  • 5:00-5:30 p.m.:  Snack Supper, Grades 3-12
  • 5:30-7:00 p.m.:  Club Kids, Grades 3-5
  • 5:30-7:00 p.m.:  Student Group, Grades 6-12

Beginning Sun., Sept. 14, our Sunday morning music schedule will be as follows:

  • 9:30-10:00 a.m.:  Children's Music, Grades 1-5
  • During 10:00 a.m. Sunday School:  Grow Choir, 2 years-Kindergarten
  • 11:00-11:30 a.m.:  Student Music, Grades 6-12

We appreciate your feedback and will continue to work together to build ministries that best serve our families.  Together, we will evaluate our offerings and be flexible so that we HAVE FUN, GROW TOGETHER, LEARN ABOUT GOD AND FAITH, AND MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE!

We have weekly and one-time events for both the student and children's ministries that we would love your help with. Sunday Schedule

 

Beginning Sun., Sept. 14

 

Country Club Christian Church's Ministries to Children, Students, and Families is excited to announce new Sunday afternoon and evening schedules for the 2014-2015 academic year.  


CHILDREN & STUDENT MUSIC:  Our new semester approach to our Children's and Student Music Ministries means participation in 1st semester music culminating in our Christmas performance, "Pageant and Praise" on Dec. 14. Children's Music will only meet Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:00 a.m. Student Music will only meet Sunday mornings from 11:00-11:30 a.m. Second semester music will culminate in the spring musical.

 

STUDENT GROUP:  Join other 6th-12th graders for fun, fellowship, service, and a light meal Sunday evenings from 5:00-7:00 p.m.    

  • 5:00-7:00 p.m. Club Kids (grades 3rd-5th)
  • 5:00-7:00 p.m. Student Group (grades 6th-12th)

A packet of detailed information is available. Please see Allie Cobb for student packets and Lindsay Howes for children packets. This information will also be available on our website.  It will include a calendar of events for children and students, Country Club Christian Church's child protection policies, forms for the year, and any other pertinent information.

Sun., Sept. 7 - Leadership Launch Event - 12:15 p.m., Youth Center. For people participating as volunteers in the Children and Students Ministry for the 2014-15 year.

 

Next Week

 

Sun., Sept. 14 - Water Fun Night, 5:00-7:00 p.m. Get out your swim wear and get ready for some end-of-the-summer fun. During Student Group, we will be playing wet and messy games before we fall into fall.

 

And Beyond

 

Sun., Sept. 21 - High School BBQ Tour, 12:00-3:00 p.m. - High School students get out your bibs and wet wipes! We are going on a Kansas City BBQ tour. Get your taste buds ready for a taste of Kansas City! The cost is $10 per student. Please email Allie or Jason so we may make arrangements. RSVP by Sept. 13.


Sun., Sept. 21 - 7th Grade Gathering - 4:00-5:00 p.m. We would love your input on where to go enjoy some ice cream. Please email Allie here to make your suggestions.

Sun., Oct. 26 - Worlds of Fun 

Fri., Nov. 14 to Sat., Nov. 15 - Middle School Lock-In - 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.

Sun., Nov. 16 - Pastor's Class Information Meeting - 12:15 p.m. 

Sun., Nov. 30 - No Student Group. Happy Thanksgiving!

Middle School (6th-8th) and High School (9th-12th) gather for refreshments and announcements in the Youth Center (Rm. 205).  After opening, Middle School moves to Room 202 for a lesson.
