June 6 - 8 - Children and Youth Ministries Mission and Vision Retreat - Ministry Architects will be back on our campus to lead us through a process that will determine our mission and vision.  

 

New Director of Youth Ministries!

Allie Cobb, our Director of Youth Ministries, grew up near Wichita.  She and her husband of three years moved to the Kansas City area two years ago for his job.  They have a "furry baby" golden retriever whom they adore.  Allie was part of her previous church for ten years.  For eight of those years, she was heavily involved in their children's ministries.  Allie is very excited about joining our church and partnering with families as we continue to build sustainable and engaging ministries to youth.  She is currently a substitute teacher for the Liberty School District and enjoys her interaction with middle and high school youth above all.

 

We will have a meet and greet for Allie on Sun., May 11 from 12:15-12:30 p.m. in the Youth Center.  Please take a moment and stop by to welcome Allie to our church!

Christian Community Camp August 2-9 SIGN UP NOW!


Each summer, families and individuals from the church gather for a glorious week in the Rocky Mountains. We call it "Christian Community Camp" because the week allows folks to build friendships with fellow church members of all ages while growing in faith in the midst of God's creation. We stay in two beautiful lodges (16 bedrooms and eight bedrooms) at the YMCA of the Rockies near Estes Park. Home cooked meals are prepared by generous volunteers from our church. Days are free to hike, ride horses, fish, boat, craft or read a book on the wraparound porch. In the evenings the group gathers for devotions and activities such as hayrides and nature programs.

June 22-26 - Middle School Mission Trip

  • What: Urban Service Projects, Houston Aquarium
  • Cost: $400 ($100 deposit is due and remainder is due June 1). Scholarships are available based on need.
July 13-19 - High School Mission Trip
  • Where: Chicago, IL - staying at Fourth Presbyterian Church. Click here for more information.
  • What: Urban Youth Mission, Second City
  • Cost: $500 ($100 deposit is due and remainder is due June 1). Scholarships are available based on need.

Chi Rho (6th-8th) and CYF (9th-12th) gather for refreshments and announcements in the Youth Center (Rm. 205).  After opening, Chi Rho moves to Room 202 for a lesson.

  

Fellowship Singers

Fellowship Singers  rehearse from 9:45- 10:15 a.m. Sunday mornings. All youth (6th-12th grade) are invited and encouraged to participate.
