Northeast PartNErship Chalk Walk

Apr. 26-27
Youth and their families are invited to work alongside our neighbors in the Northeast to create a beautiful chalk square at this annual festival. We are partnering with middle school students from Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School in the Northeast for the event. ALL church members and friends are invited to stop by anytime during the festival to see our youth working with their new friends on a beautiful work of art! There will be spaces for children to chalk for free, food trucks and vendors, Stone Lion puppets and more. Festival will be at the Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, MO.

We will have two planning sessions leading up to the event. If you want to be a part of deciding what our square looks like, these sessions are for you! Date and location TBD.
We will have three shifts on the weekend of the festival: Sat., Apr. 26, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.; Sat., Apr. 26, noon-5:00 p.m.; and Sun., Apr. 27, 1:00-5:00 p.m. Click here to sign up for shifts for youth and families.

Christian Community Camp August 2-9 SIGN UP NOW!

Each summer, families and individuals from the church gather for a glorious week in the Rocky Mountains. We call it "Christian Community Camp" because the week allows folks to build friendships with fellow church members of all ages while growing in faith in the midst of God's creation. We stay in two beautiful lodges (16 bedrooms and eight bedrooms) at the YMCA of the Rockies near Estes Park. Home cooked meals are prepared by generous volunteers from our church. Days are free to hike, ride horses, fish, boat, craft or read a book on the wraparound porch. In the evenings the group gathers for devotions and activities such as hayrides and nature programs.

Children and Youth Director Positions

Now that we have completed the assessment of our Ministry to Children, Youth, and Families it's time to move on to the next big phase. We will be hiring two part-time positions:  Director of Children's Ministries and Director of Youth Ministries. Do you know someone who would make an excellent addition to our team?  Someone who is excited about the possibilities that exist within these ministries? Teacher?  Coach?  Volunteer Coordinator?   We are looking for someone who can provide strong leadership, build relationships with our children and youth, and equip volunteers as we continue building toward our future.  Detailed job descriptions can be found here.  Please send resumes to Monica Lewis.
