White Elephant Party - Take Two! (for 9th-12th graders and friends), Jan. 25, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
A new date has been picked for the White Elephant party! Put it on your calendar and dust off those hilarious gifts you bought back in December. Looking forward to seeing all high school students there for some fun times! Get together with old and new friends. Join us at the Jensen's home for a cozy night of playing games, catching up and listening to music. Snacks and hot chocolate will be served. Please bring a wrapped gift for under $10 for a white elephant gift exchange (the more hilarious, the better). Friends and guests are welcome.  RSVP at this link.

Pastor's Class

First meeting is Wednesday, January 29 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Youth Center. The purpose of Pastors' Class is to provide time, space, and tools to help the students more clearly name their identity as Christians and their connection to this faith community. The sessions will help the youth identify what God is doing in the world; reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus; explore how this impacts who and how they are in the world. Students will have the opportunity to celebrate these insights and transformation through the ritual of baptism and church membership on Palm Sunday, Apr. 13, followed by communion on Maundy Thursday, Apr. 17.
Pastor's Class meets on the following Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Youth Center: Jan. 29, Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26, Mar. 5, 12, 26, Apr. 2, 9

Jan. 26 - Share Your Story. Shelle Jensen will be here to share a part of her faith journey and talk about her work with CASA. We know and love Shelle! Get to know her even better on this night! 5:30-7:30 p.m.

2014 Musical Is Coming!

This year, youth are invited to participate in the Children's Musical. Read below for more information.

Youth and Children's Musical
Happily Forever After (A Musical for Kids about the Kingdom of God).

In 2014, the annual musical will include both youth and children.  The musical is "Happily Forever After (A Musical for Kids about the Kingdom of God)." The performance will be Sunday, Mar. 9, 12:15 p.m. in the Social Hall. Auditions will be Sun., Jan. 19, at 12:15 p.m.

This story has knights, castles, princesses and dragons. This story is not just an excuse to brandish swords and wear tiaras.  It's a captivating and gospel-rich musical that tells the story of Princess Pride, Sir Brags-a-lot, and their curious band on an amazing trek in a very faraway land.  When the Carpenter from another kingdom brings the troubling news that their castle is actually built on sand and will not withstand the coming story, they hesitantly choose to follow him as he has promised to show them a better kingdom.  Assuring them that he'll take them all the way and will never leave them, they encounter troubles, temptations, and some very funny characters.

Important Dates:
Auditions for lead/supporting parts:
Jan. 19, 12:15 p.m.
Practices: Jan. 26, Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23, 11:00 a.m.; Mar. 1, 9:00-11:00 a.m., Mar. 2, 11:00 a.m.,
Dress rehearsal: Mar. 8, 9:00-11:00 a.m.,
Final rehearsal/lunch: Mar. 9, 11:00 a.m.
