Chi Rho and CYF Youth, Parents and Sponsors! Here's what's going on for 6th-12th graders at Country Club Christian Church.
Welcome Rev. Monica Lewis!
Sun., Oct. 13 - 5:30-6:00 p.m., Social Hall

 

Monica Lewis All youth and their parents are invited and encouraged to come to a welcome dinner for Monica, the new Minister to Children, Youth and Families. Please RSVP to Mary Margaret so we have enough food.

From 6:00-7:30 p.m., we will have regular Youth Group and Monica will share her story of faith and get acquainted with the youth.

CYF: Come for dinner followed by a discussion of a current topic in the news and its relevance to our life and faith.

Spring Break Mission Trip Information Meeting. Noon, Sun., Sept. 29, Youth Center
All youth in grades 10-12 for the 2013-2014 school year who are interested in participating in a mission trip to Nicaragua over spring break 2014 are invited and encouraged to attend an informational meeting on Sun., Sept. 29, in the Youth Center.  The trip will be  Mar. 16-22, 2014.

Sept. 29 - CYF Only Youth Group: 5:30-7:30 p.m. It's our turn to let out our inner Picasso! CYF will have a chance to create a mural, then join Hayley for an ice cream outing. We'll be back by 7:30 p.m.

   

Chi Rho Lock-In
Fri., Sept. 27, 7:15 p.m. - Sat., Sept. 28, 9:00 a.m.

 

Chi Rho Lock-in will be Friday, September 27, 7:15 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. the next morning. Two games of laser tag, all night games and movies in the church, ending with breakfast at Sosa's 39th Street Diner in the morning.

Please RSVP to Hayley by Fri., Sept. 20, so we can get our reservation at Advanced Laser Tag. Cost is $14 for two games of laser tag and breakfast at Sosa's.

PERMISSION FORM: Download permission form here and bring to Hayley at church.

Eat before you come Friday night and be prompt. If we are late to laser tag, we lose our spot. Bring pillow, blankets, and munchies.

Worlds of Fun - Oct. 20. Our annual Worlds of Fun outing. Mark your calendars and get ready for fun!

 

Halloween Party - Oct. 27. We will join Club Kids on Sun., Oct. 27, for a Halloween Party. Costumes are encouraged and parents are invited. 5:30-7:30 p.m. 

 

CYF Retreat is tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 15. Keep checking for more information!

 

 

Choir Rehearsal Times

A reminder that Sunday rehearsal time is 9:45-10:15 a.m. for Fellowship Singers.

 

Sunday morning rehearsals are very short so please make every effort to arrive on time! Even though choirs are groups of many singers, a single youth missing from a rehearsal or performance greatly impacts what we are able to accomplish and share with our church family.

 

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. I appreciate having your child in choir, and look forward to sharing the spiritual, educational, and social benefits of our music program with them.

Acolyte Schedule
A letter was sent home with an acolytes schedule and information. Please put the date on your calendar and plan to stay for the beginning of the 11:00 service. Thank you for serving to bring light into the Sanctuary.

Communion Element Families Needed
Families of the scheduled acolyte are invited to serve as the Element Family on your child
s scheduled date. If you are unable to serve on that date, please email Alexis or call her at 816-333-4917.

Chi Rho (6th-8th) and CYF (9th-12th) gather for refreshments and announcements in the Youth Center (Rm. 205).  After opening, CYF moves to Room 202 for a lesson.

  

Fellowship Singers

Fellowship Singers  rehearse from 9:45- 10:15 a.m. Sunday mornings. All youth (6th-12th grade) are invited and encouraged to participate.
