Chi Rho and CYF Youth, Parents and Sponsors! Here's what's going on for 6th-12th graders at Country Club Christian Church.
Welcome Monica Lewis

The Rev. Monica Lewis will join the staff as our new Minister to Children, Youth and Families on Oct. 1. Originally from Nevada, MO, Monica graduated from University of Colorado in Boulder and earned a masters of Divinity degree from Louisville Theological Presbyterian Seminary. She served as an intern at Middletown Christian Church in Louisville, KY, and as a Pastoral Resident at Community Christian Church in Kansas City, MO.  She has served churches with dynamic ministries to kids and has over 200 hours of coaching with Ministry Architects in Nashville.

Monica has come to see children and students as the heart of the church. "My goal is to serve in a church that can excitedly embrace Jesus' mission and our opportunity to participate in ministry that can truly be transformational for people inside and outside of the church by striving to be relevant, challenging and inviting to people of all ages and from all walks of life."

The search committee, chaired by Stacey Roske, was excited about Monica's passion for ministry and strong leadership skills. Monica is married to Johnny Lewis, the pastor at Shawnee Park Christian Church in Shawnee, KS.They have a daughter, Ellie Kate, who is 19 months.

Chi Rho Lock-in - Sept. 27.

Chi Rho Lock-in will be Friday, September 27, 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 a.m. the next morning. Laser tag, movies, games, diner food, and more! Watch for more information. 

 

 

Worlds of Fun - October 27. Our annual Worlds of Fun outing. Mark your calendars and get ready for fun!

 

CYF Retreat is tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 15. Keep checking for more information!

 

 

Attention: We Need to Provide a Meal

We need volunteers to provide a meal at the beginning of Youth Group/Club Kids on Sunday nights. We need people to sign up for the dates below. Your responsibility will be to have a meal in the Social Hall for 20-30 people. It's a great way to serve and get to know some of the young people in the congregation. Please contact Hayley ASAP if you are willing/able to help.

Fellowship Singers Rehearsal Time

Fellowship Singers, the choir for grades 6-12 will rehearse at a new time starting in September - 10:40-11:00 a.m. All youth are invited to participate regardless of singing experience. Contact Michael Patch with questions.
