"What we begin, others who come after will complete. The good is like the building of cathedrals. Only through faith can those who lay foundation stones hear bells ringing in unraised steeples."

Stewardship Prayer
God of our history; God of our challenging present; God of our hopeful future: you have trusted us with all we have. In this time of thoughtful reflection, direct us as faithful stewards, to provide a place where your word is heard and love and grace abound. You have trusted us not to hide, hoard, or waste our gifts but to share them. Open the hearts of us who have been called to this sacred place to do your work. Give our gifts meaning by trusting us to give them away. Give our gifts value not through accumulation, but through their use. Amen.

Pledge Celebration Sunday

May 12. Bring your pledge card to worship.

Joplin Palm Sunday

give now

Greetings!

This Sunday, May 12, is Pledge Celebration Sunday. Please come to worship ready to celebrate and give thanks for the many gifts and pledges given to the church by you, the members and friends of our congregation. If you have not already turned in your pledge card, please remember to bring it with you on Sunday. (There will be extra cards available in the pews and in the church office.) During each worship service, we will collectively celebrate the act of stewardship by turning in our cards together. Don't worry if you already mailed your card; you can simply turn in a blank card. In fact, whether or not you make an annual pledge, we want you to participate in this symbolic act. Listen during worship for directions on when and where to turn in your card.

After you turn in your pledge card, be sure to stop by the Parlor to pick up one of the "What We Begin" sunflower stickers to wear to remind others that you are part of the past, present and future of this magnificent church.

How Do I Know How Much to Give?

As you consider your pledge, we ask you to think about what Country Club Christian Church means to you. A place for worship, an opportunity for fellowship, a tradition for family. A network of support, an opportunity for learning, an outlet for service, a moment for peace and introspection. As you contemplate your annual pledge, please look at the ways the church works in your life, and follow your heart. Every pledge matters, no matter the size.

Thank You

Your
