Community Meeting Set on Friedman Airport Redevelopment Plan and Feasibility Analysis

Blaine County residents will have an opportunity to provide input on the future use of the current Friedman Memorial Airport property during a public meeting May 23^rd at Wood River High School in Hailey.

With planning underway to develop a replacement airport, the Friedman Memorial Airport Authority Board wants the community's participation in developing the framework plan that will provide direction on how the existing airport property can be used and redeveloped in the future to maximize the positive impact on the local economy and community.

The findings outlined in the Airport Redevelopment Plan and Feasibility Analysis was first presented to the community in February 2011, and that work was subsequently revised in response to community input.  The board now wants to present the plan to the community again to allow for further refinements as a final approach for the Friedman property is developed.

The Redevelopment Plan states, "It is intended that this report remain a live document for a period of time to allow for discussion, verification, and input from stakeholders, the community, and any relevant party that may have interests in the future of the FMA site."

The community meeting will be held on Monday, May 23^rd at Wood River High School in the Distance Learning Center from 6:00 to 8:30 pm.
