Using CST in Acute Situations
Submitted by Joshua Karrasch, Paramedic

In 2005-2006 when my commanding officer,
Captain Sandra
Joshua Karrasch, Paramedic; US Navy Veteran
DeGroot invited Dr. Upledger and his team to Naval Hospital Lemoore I was introduced to CranioSacral Therapy. Initially I was admittedly skeptical, as were many of my more mainstream medicine colleagues, of this gentleman claiming to be able to feel a rhythm - that at the time was not "main stream." When Dr. Upledger showed me how to feel the craniosacral rhythm I was blown away and instantly won over.
Now that is not to say I did not already have an appreciation for the less main stream treatment modalities, it was just that I did not see how I could apply them to my specialty, prehospital medicine.

Scholarships for Dolphin Program

The Graham Scholarship Fund was created by Barbara Huntress Tresness, author and mother of Graham, so that children who might not otherwise be able to attend the Upledger Dolphin Assisted Therapy Program could receive and benefit from the therapy.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book which chronicles their story and journey will benefit the Graham Fund. Or, Barb asks that your direct donations to the Dr. John E. Upledger Foundation be designated to The Graham Fund. Click for order information.

Enjoy the Benefits...
Study Groups create wonderful opportunities to practice the skills you have already learned and further your understanding of your chosen modality by sharing experiences and asking questions of other like-minded practitioners.
Study Groups include hands-on practice, techniques review and time available to have your questions answered.  Study Groups are led by Instructors, Teaching Assistants, or Certified Therapists.

Practice Groups are more informal, and allow for students to practice in order to prepare for further study.
