Poll of Teens Finds That 77 Percent Say They Don't Drink Alcohol
A poll of high school teens finds 77 percent say they don't drink alcohol. Youth Using E-Cigarettes to Smoke MarijuanaAs if the harmful nature of nicotine isn't enough to concern us about e-cigarettes, NBC News reports that young people are increasingly using e-cigarettes to smoke marijuana. Experts say more and more, people are smoking marijuana out of e-cigarettes and vapor pens. U.S. Attorneys General Urge FDA to Regulate E-cigarettesIn 2009, the FDA was given authority to regulate cigarettes, cigarette tobacco and roll-your-own tobacco, although not pipe tobacco, cigars or e-cigarettes. The law allows the FDA to expand its authority over all tobacco products, but it must first issue new regulations. The FDA has said they are in development. Molly - What You Need to KnowThe now-popular party drug named "Molly" sounds friendly and safe, and young people know that the name is supposed to refer to the pure crystalline powder form of MDMA-what used to be taken in pill form as Ecstasy. But many are learning the hard way that, despite appearances, Molly is often not what it seems, and this version of MDMA is no more pure, safe, or innocent than its previous incarnation.
