(CADCA.org, November 8, 2012)

The legalization measure in Oregon was defeated. Under federal law, any marijuana use is still illegal.

Eight Dimensions of Wellness Fact Sheet
(SAMHSA Publication, September, 2012)
Wellness is especially important for people who have mental health and substance use disorders because it directly relates to their quality and longevity of life. For them, wellness is more than a reduction of risk factors or the absence of disease, illness, or stress. It also involves having purpose in life, satisfying work and play, joyful relationships, a healthy body and living environment, and happiness.

(Mayo Clinic.com, November, 2011)
The holiday season often brings unwelcome guests - stress and depression. And it's no wonder. The holidays present a dizzying array of demands - parties, shopping, baking, cleaning and entertaining, to name just a few.

(Kids Health.org, November, 2011)

Family gatherings, special traditions, delicious treats - the holiday season may be the most wonderful time of the year, especially for kids. Unfortunately, for emergency room doctors it's also one of the busiest. Learn how to protect your little ones from some common holiday dangers, so you and your family can enjoy a season that's happy and healthy.

Thieves want to get their hands on powerful pills to either feed their addiction or sell on the streets. This hour-long program will focus on this type of crime that is happening all across America. An expert panel will talk about what preventive measures the pharmaceutical industry should take and potential legislative action that could lead to tougher laws against people who steal medication.
