This DVD program reveals the truth about teens that engage in drinking games and put themselves at risk for alcohol poisoning, overdose and death. Viewing is age appropriate for Grades 8 -12.
Ecstasy Display Board
This display presents updated information about ecstasy. Audience is intended for youth/teens. However, the display also includes prevention tips for parents and the community.
Alcohol and Energy Drinks
This pamphlet describes the tough toll that alcohol and energy drinks can take on the body and consequences linked to this risky stimulant/depressant mixture.

Teenagers who receive substance abuse treatment at facilities with comprehensive mental health services fare better one year later, compared with those treated at facilities with fewer such services, or none at all, a new study finds. Ready, Willing, and Able to Work: Employment for People In Recovery(Recovery Month Webcast, July 3, 2012)Examines challenges people in recovery from mental or substance use disorders face with regard to employment. Considers recovery entrepreneurship programs, employers who hire people in recovery, and community organizations that provide workforce development.

Recovery Month promotes the societal benefits of prevention, treatment, and recovery for mental and substance use disorders, celebrates people in recovery, lauds the contributions of treatment and service providers, and promotes the message that recovery in all its forms is possible.
Recovery Month spreads the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover. During National Wellness Week, SAMHSA aim's to inspire individuals, families, behavioral health and primary care providers, peer-run, faith-based, and other community organizations to focus on ways to incorporate the Eight Dimensions of Wellness into their lives as part of a holistic lifestyle. National Wellness Week's theme is Living Wellness, to emphasize that no matter which dimension of wellness we focus on, our ultimate goal is to live well-within our bodies, minds, and communities. The theme also shows that Wellness is not static or finite; rather, it's a continuous journey.
 September 24, 2012 Family Day - A Day to Eat Dinner with Your Children is a national movement launched by CASA Columbia in 2001 to remind parents that frequent family Dinners Make A Difference! While there are no silver bullets - substance abuse can strike any family regardless of ethnicity, affluence, age or gender - the parental engagement fostered at the dinner table can be a simple, effective tool to help parents prevent substance abuse in kids. The American Medicine Chest Challenge is a community based public health initiative, with law enforcement partnership, designed to raise awareness about the dangers of prescription drug abuse and provide a nationwide day of disposal - at a collection site or in the home - of unused, unwanted, and expired medicine that will be held on the second Saturday of November each year in communities across the country. - Take inventory of your prescription and over-the-counter medicine.
- Secure your medicine chest.
- Dispose of your unused, unwanted, and expired medicine in your home or at an American Medicine Chest Challenge Disposal site.
- Take your medicine(s) exactly as prescribed.
- Talk to your children about the dangers of prescription drug abuse... they are listening.

Ka Hale Pomaika`i (KHP) is located on Molokai within Hawaiian Homestead land. Ka Hale Pomaika`i provides housing, educational and supportive services to people suffering from alcohol and other drug abuse. Families are the Frontline is a webcast that explores prevention, treatment, and recovery from substance abuse and mental health disorders within the context of the family. Examines factors in a strong family support environment and ways to educate families to provide support through recovery. (Recovery Month Webcast, June 6, 2012)
Youth and Young Adults in Recovery now has a section on the Recovery Month website dedicated to youth and young adults in recovery. The section includes real, inspiring stories of recovery from young adults, resources for youth and young adults, and social media and other online connections for youth and young adults in recovery.
