Community Program Highlight

The Hawaii Partnership to Prevent Underage Drinking (HPPUD) was created to address the problem of underage drinking in the state of Hawaii. The members of the partnership represent county, state and federal agencies, non-profit organizations, private businesses and community residents concerned with the health of Hawaii's youth.For more information about the enforcement of underage drinking laws and/or prevention of underage drinking visit HPPUD online. Introduction to Substance Abuse Prevention (ADAD - Alcohol & Drug Abuse Division)  


The purpose of this training is to provide participants with information and skill building in the core elements of the substance abuse prevention field. Attendees will be introduced to the major areas of prevention in Hawaii, risk and protective factors of prevention, cultural considerations, planning prevention programs and evaluating programs.
