A Holiday Tradition
Nellie and Earl Boswell
Our Founders, Nellie and Earl Boswell, Circa 1972.

Family businesses are special. How we serve our customers is in direct correlation to the way we serve our employees.

During our third month in business in December 1965, Elisabeth Boswell told her husband, father, and mother-in-law that it wasn't right to expect employees to return to work after only one day to celebrate with their families. Mom suggested that we close one extra day, allowing our staff to enjoy family time with loved ones. After a 'committee meeting' lasting all of 60 seconds, they agreed. As we enter our 50th year, this tradition holds to this day.

Our doors will be closed on December 24 in Merrifield and on December 26 in McLean. While some customers may find this inconvenient, it is our hope that everyone has as happy a holiday season as we strive to provide to our greatly appreciated and valued employees.

May you have a very happy holiday and a wonderful new year!
