 Wallpaper Wants You 
If you need proof just read The Wall Street Journal, where home décor articles are published weekly. A January 3 article entitled "Art on the Walls" says "Looking beyond the limits of picture frames, contemporary artists are going after the whole wall, attacking it with paint, video, and their own wallpaper."
As a member of the Color Wheel family for nearly 40 years, I eat, drink, and breathe design. (Boy, am I glad I sleep!) My brain functions like that of The Six Million Dollar Man. (You all know who I'm talking about, right?) Everything I see gets calculated into how I can relate it to paint, framing, and home décor, whether it's an in-store display, a product to sell, or a marketing concept. Today let's talk about wallpaper.
Wallpaper can transform a room like nothing else. It can add architectural style and flair and a unique dimension to the overall feel of a room. "According to the Wallcoverings Association, sales of 3-D wallcoverings are the fastest growing of all residential papers. The industry is projecting an increase in sales of residential tactile, dimensional and embellished papers by more than 21 percent by 2013," says Houston Lifestyles and Homes.  What's Old is New Again
This valuable paper etching came to us in serious condition. The mats and backing contained acidic properties, causing constant harm to the art by burning the paper as the acids released. This is evident by the darkish areas surrounding the perimeter of the paper.
The first step to protecting the etching was to have our restorer deacidify the art. Once restored, it was reframed using only the highest quality archival products, including museum glass which blocks 99% of harmful indoor and outdoor UV light rays to prevent deterioration.
Shown below, the completed job not only protects but compliments the art. We retained the original black and white theme with the matting, adorning it with an ornate silver frame for just the right finishing touch. In person it is quite stunning.
