Leadership Clark County Update

 LCC's Next Information Session:

March 19

Thanks to our early enrollment campaign, LCC has received a record number of applications for the class of 2014.  "Our next class is well on its way to reaching its maximum of 35 students," says LCC Recruiting Committee Co-Chair Jason Beatty.

"We are asking alumni to help us add to this outstanding group and complete class enrollment before the final deadline of April 30," explains Recruiting Committee Co-Chair Michele Holen

The class of 2014 thus far includes representatives from the private, public and nonprofit sectors. "We would like to see more representation from the small business and manufacturing segments of our business community," notes Jason.

How Alumni Can Help

Take three simple steps: 1) Consider those in your professional and personal circles who would be qualified applicants for the LCC class.  2) Engage them in a conversation about LCC to give them an overview of the program and expectations.  3) Encourage them to apply and invite them to the LCC Information Session from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19 at Clark Public Utilities' Community Room, 1200 Fort Vancouver Way.  Registration is free, but RSVPs are required to LCC Executive Director Denise Smith.

Leadership Thought of the Month

"You have to be burning with an idea, or a problem, or a wrong that you want to right. If you're not passionate enough from the start, you'll never stick it out."
