Important Back to School Information

 

Dear Parents:
       We are looking forward to welcoming our students back to school. Please note the start dates for each class:
         Freshmen:   August 24 Retreat 8:00-3:00
                             August 25 Orientation 8:00-3:00
 
         Sophomores:   August 26 Orientation 8:00-9:30
                              
         Juniors and Seniors: August 26 Orientation 10:30-!2:00 noon
 
         All Students: August 29 First full day of school
 
Important Reminder: No student may attend Orientation or the first day of class if the student fees are not paid.
 

Sports - Parent Workshop

 

Parent Workshop  on Sunday, August 28 at 7:00 pm in the Seton Auditorium for all parents who have a daughter who plays a sport here at Seton. Lynn Kachmarik, a two-time Olympian and founder of True Brand Sports will be here to conduct a workshop that all parents need to hear if their daughter plays any sport at any level! Bishop McNamara has also been invited to join us for the workshop. Registration will begin at 6:30 and the cost is free.

 

School Supply Drive

 

School Supply Drive for Neediest Kids



As you are shopping for your school supplies this month, please consider picking up a few extra supplies for students in our local area who cannot afford them.  We will collect items in the lower student lobby, near the cafeteria, during the first two weeks of school -- August 29th through September 9th.  Please consider donating any of the following items:



Pens

Pencils (preferably mechanical)

Binders

Notebooks

Highlighters

Index cards

Loose leaf paper

Folders

Bookstore News

 

Bookstore Hours 9:00 to 3:00 Monday to Friday including Aug 16.



The book list on our web page has been revised as of 6/28/16.  Please be sure to use this updated version when buying your daughter's books.

2016 Freshman Ice Cream Social

 

Welcome class of 2020! - The PCO will be hosting our annual Ice Cream Social for the incoming Freshman class and their family on Saturday, August 20th from 6-8pm.  We need four (4) parent volunteers (sophomore, junior, or senior parents only) to assist with setup, serving, and cleanup. Come and Celebrate

 

Seton Community, please mark your calendars for Sept. 14 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm,.  We are inviting you to join us for a school wide celebration of the Daughters of Charity on the feast of St. Elizabeth Seton.  More information will be coming, but please SAVE THE DATE and please plan on coming to a wonderful celebration.

 

Athletics

 

If your daughter wishes to tryout for a Seton sports team next year, she must have a current physical performed after June 1, 2016 on file in the clinic. These forms should be mailed to the school prior to tryouts. Please do not bring them the day of tryouts and hand them to coaches. They are unable to accept them.

Forms can be found on our website www.setonhs.org under Athletics and Admissions. We are unable to accept substitute forms, so please print the physical form prior to your Dr's visit.



Clinic

 

Parents of Freshmen, Transfers and students wishing to try out for a sports team. Please mail your completed health forms (physicals and immunizations) to the school (attn: CLINIC) as soon as they are completed. Please use the forms provided at registration or that are on our website under athletics or admissions. We are unable to accept substitute forms.



Music Boosters

 

Support Seton's Music Program-Redskins Season Tickets Available!

For the past several years, the Seton Music Boosters have had two Redskins season tickets available for purchase where the proceeds from sales have benefited the Music Program. We are offering this exciting opportunity once again this year, with season tickets available in Section 102, Row 7, Seats 15 and 16. Parking passes are included as well.

Latin 2 Students

 

Students taking Latin 2 should save their Wheelock's Latin book, workbook and reader from Latin 1. Any transfer students going into Latin 2, may purchase Wheelock's Latin books on Amazon.com.
