TIME TO BE ON TIME As Seton continues exam week, we are committed to creating a culture of academic excellence until the end. STUDENTS NEED TO BE ON TIME FOR ALL EXAMS AND DRESSED IN FULL UNIFORM. Students who are not on time will not be admitted into the classroom and will have to make up exams on Friday June 3 or Wednesday June 8. - Students will follow their regular schedule in reverse and will attend all classes where an exam is given. If your teachers request your presence in a non-exam class, you must attend. If you have a study hall or a class where an exam is not given and your teacher has not requested your presence, you do not need to be present in school.
- We strongly discourage absences during exams. If an absence occurs, the student will make up exams missed during the make-up period. Parents must report absences to the main office. A student who is absent due to illness or a death in the family will not be penalized. Exams missed for any other reason will be assessed a grade penalty.
- Students who arrive late (after 8:15 a.m.) must sign in with the main office before reporting to her exam.
- Do not leave your books, back packs, purses or other items unattended in the cafeteria, auditorium, lobbies, or hallways.
- Students who are dismissed from the classroom at 9:45 (12:15) must QUIETLY report to the cafeteria or auditorium. Remember, others are still working on exams. At 10:15 a.m. students may leave these areas to run errands or to visit the locker room.
- There will be no supervision provided after 3:00 p.m. during exam week. Students are to be in the library (for silent study) from 1-3 p.m. Our recommendation is to make arrangements to be picked up immediately following exams each day.
- Use the lavatory prior to reporting to your classroom. Students will not be permitted to leave the classroom during exams.
- Place any books, book bags, or other materials at the front of the classroom prior to taking an exam. NO CELL PHONES, TABLETS OR LAPTOPS ARE PERMITTED IN THE EXAM ROOM. Possession and/or use of these items in any manner will merit a zero for the exam.
- We expect students to uphold the honor code. The sharing of information/material from the exam will be considered a violation of the code and will result in a zero.
- Students are to dress in full and complete uniform for exams.
- Students who have been granted untimed testing will begin the test in the classroom with their class. When the 2nd hour exam period is over, you are to meet Mrs. Burke. You will then be moved to a room to complete the test.

Class of 2017 Parents
By now you should have received the letter from Victor O'Neill Studios regarding information for senior portraits. Students will each receive an additional mailing (postcard) that will include their specific portrait time. After the mailing goes out, the Studios will provide the school with the list of times. If your daughter cannot make the seating at all this June, we ask she cross out her name so another student might use the time slot. If you would like your daughter to consider a different time, please have her come and check the list and see what will work. Those who cannot make the June dates will be photographed during school in September. There will be plenty of information about this in September. Please email Mrs. Ginger Thompson gthompson@setonhs.org if you have any questions. |
Our annual Used Book and Uniform Sale will be held Saturday, July 23rd from 9 am to 1 pm in our auditorium. All volunteer opportunities have been filled. A big thank you to all who have so generously offered to help! More information will follow in a future Parent Announce.

Registration Update - New Information
Dear Parents, In June, Seton will be migrating to a new database system to handle all of our computer work including our tuition and financials. In preparation for this move, two pieces of information are critical to you: - FACTS FEES: Any parent who has unpaid FACTS FEES must pay them by May 31st. Failure to pay these fees will prohibit your daughter from taking exams in June.
- When you re-register, the new system will only allow parents who are checking that they want to pay their tuition in two installments, EXACTLY TWO INSTALLMENTS on July 1st and January 5th. Therefore, if you cannot pay your tuition in exactly two installments, you must sign up for monthly installments through FACTS. Parents will not be allowed to sign up for two installments of tuition and pay partial amounts of these two required payments.
Thank you for your cooperation with our system migration. Sister Ellen Marie |
