Seton's Music Program

Dance Marathon Wrap-up
On November 14, Seton's Music Department hosted its annual Dance Marathon fundraiser in collaboration with the Music Boosters. Thanks to those who helped make the event a success!
Thanks to the students who danced for five hours and thanks for their parents' support, including those parents who served as Dance Marathon volunteers. Thanks also to Ms. Hood, Dr. Vadala, and Mrs. Burke for their continued support of this important fundraiser.
Through the efforts of many, over $26,000.00 was raised to support the Music program and the students' travel to their Spring Music Trip! The money raised also helps fund key aspects of the services offered in Seton's Music program. This includes new equipment and instruments as well as funding for the Boosters' music lesson reimbursement program.
Thanks to all who contributed to a very successful Dance Marathon 2015!

Redskins Raffle Tickets Update
As previously announced, the Music Boosters had been raffling off a pair of tickets, plus parking passes, to the Redskins-Cowboys football game scheduled for December 7. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales will directly benefit Seton's Music Program. The raffle drawing was held at the Dance Marathon on November 14, where the lucky winner was Tonia Symes-Patino!
Thanks for supporting this fundraising activity and for your support of Seton's Music Program!

Carly '16 Update

Carly was discharged from the BMT unit at Children's Hospital on Monday, October 5.  She "rang the bell" prior to leaving the oncology floor which is a significant moment.  It signals the end of active treatment and begins a life free of cancer.  Carly and her family are thrilled to be home.  Carly will go to outpatient treatment for three days a week for the next three months.  Last week she did have to stay in the hospital after going in for outpatient treatment.  Carly has spent the last week back on the BMT floor but is in high spirits and ready to get back home.  The Nguyen's would like to thank the entire Seton community for their prayers, cards, emails, videos, meals and outpouring of love.  Carly still has a long road of recovery to travel but with our continued support she knows she can do it!

We would love to continue to provide meals for the Nguyen's.  It's not too late to sign up at takethemameal.com, search "Nguyen" in the recipient last name box and the password is "7442" to take Carly and her family a meal.  This has been a big help to them.
