Make-up Exams

10:45-12:45

Students will follow their regular schedule. Classes where an exam is not being given may still want students to attend. These teachers will tell you what they want you to do. If your teachers request your presence in a non-exam class, you must attend. If you have a study hall or a class where an exam is not given and your teacher has not requested your presence, you do not need to be present in school; however, your parents should call.

We strongly discourage absences during exams. Exams will only be rescheduled for valid reasons: illness or the death of an immediate family member. Parents must contact Mrs. Burke immediately to schedule a makeup exam. Students who miss exams for a reason that has not been pre-approved will be assessed a grade penalty.

  1. Students who arrive late (after 8:15 a.m.) must sign in with the main office. If a student has two exams on this day, she will take both exams.
  2. Do not leave books, back packs, purses or other items unattended in the cafeteria, auditorium, lobbies, or hallways.
  3. Students who are dismissed from the classroom at 9:45 must QUIETLY report to the cafeteria or auditorium. Remember, others are still working on exams. Be considerate of your fellow students. At 10:15 a.m. students may leave these areas to run errands or to visit the locker room.
  4. Use the lavatory prior to reporting to your classroom for exams. Students will not be permitted to leave the classroom during exams. (except emergencies)
  5. Place any books, book bags, or other materials at the front of the classroom prior to taking an exam. NO CELL PHONES ARE PERMITTED IN THE EXAM ROOM. Possession and/or use of a cell phone in any manner will merit a zero for the exam.
  6. We expect students to uphold the honor code. The sharing of information/material from the exam will be considered a violation of the code and will result in a zero.
  7. Students who have been granted untimed testing will begin the test in the classroom with their class. When the 2 hour period is up, the teacher will bring you to meet Mrs. Burke. You will then be moved to an alternative room to complete the test.
  8. Lockers need to be fully emptied and cleaned out by June 2nd. Students should keep their lock if they are returning to Seton.

Year of Consecrated Life

Pope Francis I has designated this year as the Year of Consecrated Life.  In doing so, he has asked people to become more familiar with consecrated life and its gift to the church.  At Seton, we are blessed to have the Daughters of Charity who live a consecrated life.  In keeping with the Pope's wish, we are sharing the many facets of consecrated life with our students every Tuesday on our television in the student lobby.  Each week in Parent Announce, we will share this information with you.
