Many thanks to the parents who attended one of the Capital Campaign Info Sessions on Nov. 6th! We look forward to working with you as you begin to fundraise for our library and turf field. Just a reminder that the parent goal is $400,000 over 3 years - each family's goal is $2,000. We have already received 3 gifts for the capital campaign through the online giving site: www.setonhs.org/campaign. Each gift referenced a current student! Please complete the Response Sheet that was included in the folder that you received on Thursday. We want you to tell us how you will assist with "friendraising" efforts! Feel free to contact Monica Horton ( mhorton@setonhs.org or 301-864-4532 x7338) if you didn't pick up campaign materials on Thursday or for more information. Dear Seton Family, As the fall season approaches, the Catholic Church celebrates two very important feast days: All Saints Day and All Souls Day. Traditionally, this has been the time when we pray for those who are now deceased, but who have impacted our lives forever. On these two days, we would like to pray for your loved ones at the masses celebrated at Elizabeth Seton High School. Throughout the month of November, we would like to continue our prayer for your deceased family, friends, and members of the Seton Community by placing your names at the foot of the altar in the chapel where they will be remembered at morning and evening prayer and at every mass in the chapel. Seton is a family, and it is our privilege to pray for your loved ones. We promise to pray for you, also, as a way to express our love and gratitude for one another. We invite you to click on the link below and place on the enclosed form any names of family members, friends, or alumnae for whom you would like us to pray. Let us use this month of November in which we celebrate Thanksgiving to thank God for all those who have gone before us, especially those who have left us an example of goodness and generosity. May we be like-minded with them and one with them in spirit and prayer! May God bless each of you with the "light to know and the grace to do". Gratefully, Sister Ellen Marie Hagar '74 President Please click here to submit names of individuals to be remembered.

Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award
Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award - It's What You Do That Counts! Are you a young woman between the ages of 14 and 17 who volunteers in your community or school? Who sees challenges instead of obstacles? Hope instead of despair? If you are a young woman who believes in the power of volunteer action, then you may be eligible to win a Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award. The Violet Richardson Award recognizes young women who make the community and world a better place through volunteer efforts such as: fighting drugs, crime and violence; cleaning up the environment; and working to end discrimination and poverty.
