Summer Courses At Seton

Elizabeth Seton High School will offer two one-half credit courses this summer for original credit. The fee for each course is $350.00. At least 12 students per course are needed in order to make it viable to offer the course.

#1:   Trigonometry and Analysis: This course is recommended for rising juniors and/or seniors. A grade of "B" or better must be attained in the Trigonometry and Analysis class in order to move into Honors Pre-Calculus in the fall.
The prerequisites for this course are at least a "B" in Algebra 2 and an "A-"in Geometry.  The current Algebra 2 book will be used for this course.
This course runs June 16 through July 18 from 8:30 until noon.

#2:   Life Fitness/ Health & PE:  This course is a combination physical education, health & fun activities. Students will review lessons regarding health issues and will develop an exercise program to help them become persons of good health and fitness throughout life. Students will also participate in organized activities for fun. (Open for grades 9-12) The dates and times for this course are June 23 through July 21 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

This is an excellent opportunity for those students who wish to take four years of music or art and/or LEAD and have little space in their schedules for health and PE requirements.

or contact lburke@setonhs.org by May 1, 2014. Tuition for these classes is due by May 15, 2014.

Seton Altar Servers

Seton's Best Kept Secret - The Seton Altar Servers

A student asked, "Why do we have altar servers?" The Altar Servers' Prayer is the best answer:
Loving Father, You call Your people to worship, to be with You and one another at Mass. I thank You for having called me to assist others in their prayer to You. May I be worthy of the trust placed in me and through my example and service bring others closer to You. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is Lord forever and ever. Amen

Seton has nine servers who take turns at our Masses.

Congratulations to our three Senior Servers who have served Masses for three of their four years
here at Seton. Laura Elbesunu, Kenya Jenkins and Erika Nelson

The Seton Servers who complete the roster are: Theresa Wainwright, Campbell Schmucker, Promyce Miller and Sarah Yasin (Terri Dorsey not in picture).
